All coaches and players participating in our programming will demonstrate the utmost respect for themselves and each other

1. Coaches and players will recognize individuals’ preferred use of pronouns

2. Coaches and players will refrain from participating in any act of physical or verbal violence

3. Under no circumstance will any form of discrimination will be tolerated.

EQUALITIES

​OBA is committed to being as equitable as possible

​

1. All players, coaches and families will have equal access to the resources provided by OBA (if permitted).

2. All players during our House League selection process will be subjected to equitable and fair evaluation.

​All employees employed through OSE/OBA or operating through the OSE/OBA identity agree to remain professional and act in the best interest of the organization, and its clientele.

​

1. All employees will refrain from using harmful language or violence of any sort while employed under the OSE/OBA identity.

2. All interactions between employees and ambassadors of OBA organization will remain professional, void of violence and maintain the integrity of all parties involved.

3. All practices carried out through thoughtful consideration, preparation, mindfulness of players, and with the highest quality.

4. Coaches and volunteers are committed to respecting their own time and that of their clientele by arriving to and departing from agreed upon shifts as scheduled.

5. Coaches’ communication to players and clientele will remain honest, kind, encouraging and supportive.

6. All disciplinary action expected of players through coaching must be sensible, within reason, and maintain the health and integrity of players

7. All employees while employed under the OSE/OBA identity accept full accountability for their actions.

OBA'S COMMITMENT

OBA is an organization that advocates for healthy and happy employees and volunteers.

1. OBA will provide safe, clean and bright spaces for employees to operate in

2. The employer will be responsible for providing all equipment necessary for operations. (Balls, cones, pumps, reversibles, etc.)

3. All employees (upon satisfactory completion of probation period) will be enrolled into a health and dental benefits package.

4. Employees are encouraged to offer feedback to the employer, whereby any room for improvement will be taken into account by the employer.

5. All employees are encouraged to work together as a team on behalf of OBA.

TO COMMUNITY

We are community oriented. OBA takes pride in who we are, and prioritizes contributing to growing strong spaces where we can all belong.

1. We believe in giving back and fostering community engagement for youth.

2. We are committed to offering opportunities to youth and families in marginalized communities.

3. We are committed to being transparent about the culture and values at OBA and believe they were created with the larger community in mind. With that said, we encourage all employees, players, parents, friends and families or OBA to consider sharing in our culture and values.

OBA'S STANCE

OBA will stand up and take action against disrespect and/or discrimination.

1. All players, coaches, employees and ambassadors participating or operating under the OBA identity are expected to treat themselves, each other, and the organization with respect.

2. Any forms of the following (but not limited to) acts of disrespect: discrimination against another person/persons, harmful language or behavior towards another person/persons, jeopardizing the safety of an individual/individuals, false accusations or defamation of another person/persons, may result in the immediate removal person/persons in violation of conduct from OBA programming.
